First benchmarks of the ryzen 5 2500u for notebooks

AMD is poised to storm the laptop market thanks to its Ryzen Mobile processors, based on the ZEN architecture, which is the same one it uses for desktop CPUs. One of those processors is the Ryzen 5 2500U, which will be present in some laptops from HP, Lenovo and Acer sooner rather than later.
The Ryzen Mobile platform reaches notebooks with force
There are three laptops that have already been announced with AMD Ryzen CPUs, the HP Envy x360, Lenovo Ideapad 720S and Acer Swift 3, but more will come during 2018 and as they seduce buyers.
One of the key points for this new journey by AMD, will undoubtedly be the performance they offer over the Intel Core. Notebookcheck had the opportunity to get hold of a laptop equipped with the Ryzen 5 2500U processor to do some performance tests.
First real benchmarks of the Ryzen 5 2500U
The computer used for testing was the HP Envy X360, which comes with the Ryzen 5 2500U.
The Ryzen 5 2500U CPU scored 137 points (single-threaded) on CineBench 15 and a score of 574 points when tested in multi-threaded. In 3DMark 11 it scored 2918 points, while when testing only the processor's GPU performance, the score was 3602 @ 1280 × 720 pixels.
As you can see from the tests, the performance of the Ryzen 5 2500U will be equated to that of an i7 7700HQ and outperforms an i5-7300HQ. The VEGA 8 integrated GPU manages to outperform the GeForce 940MX, but not the GeForce MX150, we already knew that but this benchmark confirms it.
The results are really very good if computers equipped with this chip come out at a grounded price. What do you think?
