The Ryzen 5 series is getting closer to us and in the last few hours the first performance tests have begun to transcend, this time the Ryzen 5 1400, which would become the cheapest model in this series.

AMD Ryzen 5 1400 vs Intel Core i5 7400

In the various performance tests, the AMD Ryzen 5 1400 has been seen face to face with Intel Core i5 7400, two processors that are practically at the same price range.

In the following video we can see the comparison of the Ryzen 5 1400 with and without OC, i5 7400 and an Intel G4560 in different video games such as Battlefield 1, GTA V or The Witcher 3 , among others. You can see the video below and we also leave the timelines to make it easier to see the different tests:

Video bench results

The test was carried out with a Radeon RX 480 graphics card and the reality is that the Ryzen 5 is shown equal or superior in most of the tests and only loses against Intel's proposal when comparing it with Battlefield 1, Fallout 4 and GTA V , always taking as reference the Ryzen 5 1400 at 3.8GHz. With the frequencies in stock, the differences in the first three games become more comfortable but in the rest of the tests it still maintains the type.

Ryzen 5 1400 will be the most basic processor in this series, with 4 physical and 8 logical cores running at a base frequency of 3.2GHz / 3.4GHz with Boost mode. Its estimated price will be 190 euros.

The best processors on the market

The entire Ryzen 5 series will go on sale starting April 11.
