QNAP® Systems, Inc. has announced the launch of its new TS-451S Turbo NAS model, a 4-bay NAS that is optimized for 2.5 ″ high-density SSDs and that features a 2.41GHz Intel® Celeron® processor. At the same time, the company renames the powerful SS-x53 Pro series, NAS models optimized for high-density 2.5 ″ SATA 6Gb / s SSDs, which are now renamed TS-453S Pro (4-bay) and TS-853S Pro (8-bay), respectively, to help users quickly recognize different options in the same product category.

Using SSDs on a Turbo NAS offers numerous benefits to the user including a smaller size to hold at least 4 SSD drives, higher density storage capacity, RAID 5 configuration for data protection and quieter system operations. Through QNAP's HD Station app, users can enjoy an unprecedented home theater multimedia experience and exclusive QvPC technology that enables them to use the Turbo NAS as a PC.

The TS-451S provides a high-capacity, high-performance storage solution for users in the home, small home office, workgroup, or SMB. Backed by the advanced QTS operating system, the TS-451S functions as a powerful and easy-to-use NAS for data backup, file synchronization, remote access, and home entertainment. Likewise, it is ideal for users to create a personal cloud to access their data easily.

QNAP's Turbo NAS for SSD models feature a unique hardware design that allows users to easily upgrade their RAM to enjoy multitasking operations more smoothly, especially for those users who are running a large number of multimedia applications.

Compared to the TS-x53 Pro series, designed for 3.5 ″ HDDs, the TS-x53S Pro series models offer a more affordable price, take up half the space and, when used exclusively with SSDs, provide more 4, 000+ IOPS (Random Read / Write).
