How to see which apps have location permissions on iOS
Before starting, you need to know about the existence of three different types of location permission settings that an application can have in iOS:
Never: self explanatory, the application in question will not be able to access your location under any circumstances.
When using the app: Introduced in a newer version of iOS, this option allows the app to use location only when using the app, for example, to get your location by sending a tweet in the Twitter app or to get the directions in Maps.
Always: This option allows an application to use your location whenever the application wishes, even when you are not currently using it. This option is recommended when absolutely necessary, for example, for applications such as Waze, Google Maps and others that you need.
That said, this is how you can check what applications location services use on your iPhone or iPad, and what settings each of them have activated:
- Go to Settings > Privacy > Location services. You will see a list of current applications that have requested access to the location. Click on an application to verify the settings assigned to it.
Share your location on facebook messenger
Facebook Messenger allows users to share their location with groups of people or chat.
