What is an EPS file

This EPS or " Encapsulated PostScript " format is widely used on websites. This is a file for transferring vector illustrations between different applications. This format was created by Adobe Systems back in 1992 and has the ability to be compatible with all operating systems. Well, the best way to open EPS files in Windows 10 and view these types of files, and, above all, to be able to work with them natively, is Adobe Illustrator. As we have said, it is a native Adobe format so graphic design programs will be compatible with it.

Although it is true that for example Photoshop, although you can also open them, it will render the image to a bitmap before editing, so the vector format will disappear with the consequent deterioration of the image.
