Qualcomm announces the snapdragon 210
Qualcomm has announced a new Snapdragon 210 SoC that will bring inexpensive smartphones from the entry level to life but with respectable power.
It is a SoC manufactured in a 28 nm lithographic process, it consists of a total of four Cortex-A7 cores very energy efficient at 1.10 GHz that are accompanied by the Adreno 304 GPU. On the connectivity side, we do not find the latest technology such as 4G LTE Cat.4, in addition to the more traditional ones such as WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and NFC.
The new SoC supports displays with a maximum resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and cameras of up to 8 megapixels with the ability to record video at 1080p, as well as allowing native playback of H.265 content through hardware acceleration.
The rest of the features are completed with the implementation of Quick Charge 2.0 (recharges 75% faster from the device battery) and Dual SIM support.
Numerous devices are expected to be deployed below the 100-euro barrier early next year 2015.
