Radeon r9 380x with full tonga on the way
AMD is preparing to complete the Radeon R300 series on landing and will do so with a chip that was talked about for a long time but that we could not finally see on any graphics card. Guess who we are talking about?
It looks like we will finally see the fully unlocked Tonga chip, it will do so inside the imminent AMD Radeon R9 380X graphics card and will total 32 CU, which translates to 2, 048 stream processors, 128 TMUs, 32 ROPs. All this accompanied by a 384-bit memory interface and 3 GB / 6 GB of GDDR5 VRAM. The card is also rumored to finally arrive with a 256-bit interface and 2GB / 4GB of memory.
One of the first cards to arrive would be the XFX R9 380X Double Dissipation, with the usual heatsink from the brand that gives the card its name and which consists of a dense aluminum radiator crossed by four 8mm copper heatpipes. Completing the set are two removable 100mm fans for easy cleaning, all a detail of XFX.
