We can finally find out all the news that will come in the next AMD Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition graphics drivers, which will come to replace the current Crimson series.

AMD Link (mobile app)

This is a new application for our Smartphone with which we can track the performance of our graphics card in video games. With didactic bar graphs we will be able to see the performance that our computer is offering at the moment on our mobile. We may also receive notifications about updates.

Radeon Overlays

What was finally being rumored is true, the Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition controllers will have their function to monitor performance and will be compatible with all games from DirectX 9 onwards and even Vulkan. This monitoring can be activated with the ALT-R keys (we imagine that this key combination can be customized) and will show us the FPS in any video game, as well as data on the frequencies of the graphics card and CPU, temperatures, etc.

Performance improvements

AMD also promises performance improvements, some quite significant. 19% more performance in Prey, + 17% in Project Cars, + 10% in Mass Effect Andromeda, + 13% in Ghost Recon Wildlands and + 14% in Overwatch compared to current Crimson controllers. These performance improvements are based on the RX 480 graphics card.

The new Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition drivers will be available starting tomorrow, according to Terry Makedon, AMD's director of software strategy.
