Razer Deathstalker Chroma: unboxing and design
The packaging of the Razer Deathstalker Chroma consists of a simple cardboard box on the front of which we observe the design of the keyboard and its lighting system. On the other hand, in the back we detail its specifications in different languages, including Spanish.
Once we open the box we find:
- Keyboard Razer Deathstalker Chroma Instruction Manual Thank You Card Two Razer Stickers
The Razer Deathstalker Chroma has measurements of 460 x 214 x 16.5 mm and a weight of 1, 080 grams, which seems to us somewhat high for a membrane keyboard. The arrangement of the keys is the traditional one although the American version has come to us so we do not have the letter "ñ". The fonts above the keys also look somewhat different than what we are used to.
The keyboard differs in that it includes chewing gum membrane switches, a significant difference from most high-end solutions that tend to opt for mechanical switches. The choice of membrane switches allows a very fast pulsation with great precision and mainly a much lower loudness.
The keyboard is constructed of a premium ABS plastic surface with excellent feel. The bottom has a design that mimics carbon fiber for a higher quality look.
As we can see in the image immediately above, it has a numeric keypad and the F keys have different functions, with the F1-F7 multimedia functions and the F8-F12 configuration functions together with the Fn key. Specifically, the F9 key allows us to macro recording, the F10 key activates the " gaming mode " and finally with the F11-F12 keys we can configure the intensity of the keyboard lighting.
The management of macros is very simple and allows us to assign a combination of a different set of keys to a key. To configure a macro we must first press the combination Fn + F9, then the key to configure, the sequence of keys that make up the macro and finally again Fn + F9
It also comes equipped with N-Key Rollover (NKRO) and Anti-Ghosting technology that substantially enhance the experience. Its sample rate will satisfy any user. In the rear area we have 4 rubber feet that offer two positions, and four other rubber bands that prevent the keyboard from slipping, along with a product identification label.
In the back there is little to highlight, simply indicate that it incorporates two temples that allow the keyboard to be adjusted in two positions and four straps that allow the keyboard to not slip.
The Razer Deathstalker Chroma includes the ability to customize its lighting system in color and intensity to better suit the tastes of each user. It offers the possibility of establishing an individual lighting configuration for each key with predefined effects and we can choose between 16.8 million colors.
Razer Synapse Software
The Razer Deathstalker Chroma It is compatible with Razer Synapse software that will allow us to configure different aspects of our keyboard to adapt it more to our preferences, you can find it here
WE RECOMMEND YOU Razer Basilisk V2 Review in Spanish (complete analysis)A negative point of this software is that we need to create an account and be connected to the internet, we will also have to individually download the driver of each Razer device that we connect to our PC and restart after it (only the first time).
Once inside the software, we first find the sections for managing the keyboard's RGB LED lighting system. We can choose the color we want for lighting as well as various effects and intensities to our liking.
Then we have the game mode with which we can deactivate some keys to avoid accidental pressing while we are playing, such as the Windows key and finally a powerful macro creator and manager.
Final words and conclusion about Razer Deathstalker Chroma
The Razer Deathstalker Chroma is a membrane keyboard with chewing gum switches and a spectacular RGB lighting system. At the aesthetic level it is a first-class keyboard.
In our tests we have been able to play any game with great ease, we have created macros to have slight advantages over our rivals, we have configured the lighting system to our liking and the response time is 10.
Special mention to the software that has shown once again that it is the best that we have been able to test so far. Maximum customization.
Currently we can find it in online stores over 120 euros.
