We continue to analyze peripherals from Razer, a leading brand in the sector that offers us the most interesting proposals for all user profiles. This time they sent us the Razer Goliathus Chroma Extended, the oversized version of its popular flexible mat with highly configurable RGB LED lighting.

Unboxing and design

Razer has opted for a small box to pack the Razer Goliathus Chroma Extended. This is due to the fact that the mat is rolled inside it, so that it bulges much less than if it were extended. The box follows the typical pattern of the Californian brand, with the presence of green and black tones in a dominant way. We open the box and find the mat rolled up around a cardboard cylinder to keep it perfectly shaped. Along with the product we see the usual brand documentation cards and stickers.

Razer Goliathus Chroma Extended connects to the PC using a 1.2 meter cable, twisted and terminated in a USB connector.

This surface allows the mouse to slide smoothly, as well as high precision so that we do not miss any shot. Non-slip rubber has been used for the base of the mat, a material that will offer a perfect grip on our table, thus preventing the mat from moving in the middle of the game.

Razer Goliathus Chroma Extended is fully compatible with Razer Synapse 3 software, which we can download from the official Razer website for free. Once installed, we connect the mat and the application will download all the data it needs to function.

Razer Synapse 3 allows us to manage the lighting of the Razer Goliathus Chroma Extended mat in a very simple way by means of the predefined quick adjustments. Here we can choose between 16.8 million colors and a multitude of light effects such as spectrum rotation, reagent, respiration and many more. It also offers us the advanced mode through Chroma Studio, a very complex application that will allow us to individually adjust each of the areas of the mat.
