Razer Huntsman Elite is the most advanced keyboard of the Californian firm, a model that stands out for making use of the new Razer optomechanical switches, which combine mechanical technology with optics as the name implies. The Razer Huntsman Elite keyboard comes in an elongated cardboard box with signature signature aesthetics, a high-quality print based on green and black, the corporate colors of this premium peripheral maker. The wrist rest is padded and covered with synthetic leather to offer great comfort in use, in this sense it is simply the best we have seen. This palmrest integrates Chroma lighting, therefore it has contact pins that help it communicate with the keyboard and power the RGB LEDs. The union of the palm rest is magnetic, which means that there are no anchors that can break with use.

The keyboard follows Razer's overall layout, with the F keys endowed with extra functionality alongside the Fn key. The main ones are F9 to record macros in flight, F10 to activate the gaming mode and F11-F12 to adjust the intensity of the lighting. In the upper right corner, 3 multimedia keys and a configurable multifunction wheel have been included, most likely you will use it to regulate the volume.

This software allows us to assign functions to each key, for this we only have to click on the key in question and the configuration menu opens. We can also customize the wheel to assign the functions we want. The tab referring to Lighting is one of the most important on this keyboard, given the large presence of RGB LED diodes. The configuration possibilities are the usual ones, although increased since we have a large number of areas to give our desk a spectacular touch.

Final words and conclusion about Razer Huntsman Elite

We have used the Razer Huntsman Elite for several days to be able to make a fair assessment of the keyboard and tell you everything you have to know about it first hand. The ergonomics of this keyboard is excellent, something that helps its wedge shape next to the palm rest and the legs of the back to lift it if we want. The palm rest has an enviable touch, with a very smooth surface for our wrists, unlike other plastic models that can end up being quite uncomfortable. Typing with this keyboard is a delight. I personally really wanted to try these Razer optomechanical mechanisms.
