Both Razer Huntsman keyboards have a metal top and are equipped with Razer optomechanical switches. Unlike traditional mechanical keys that include a large number of moving parts, and that implement a metallic contact, the Razer optomechanical key allows actuation by a beam of light. This mechanism provides a tactile feel similar to that of the Razer Green switch, with an activation force of 45 grams and a service life of up to 100 million pressures.
