Razer Ouroboros technical specifications
Razer Ouroboros unboxing and design
The Razer Ouroboros that the company has sent us has gone through many means and its box is quite gaunt. However, we can tell you that the presentation of the product lives up to the product.
It is presented by a methacrylate cover that we can see how the mouse is displayed inside it. In the lower area is a cardboard area that includes all accessories. We find the following bundle:
- Razer Ouroboros. Magnetic adapters. Charger. USB cable. 2500 mAh battery. Instruction manual, warranty and sticker.
The Razer Ouroboros presents dimensions of 137 x 71 x 42 mm (Length x Width x Height) and a weight of 115 grams. Its symmetrical design is ideal for ambidextrous users, although it incorporates a small lower inclination in the central area. It really is an ideal mouse for both palm grip and claw… having two good protectors.
On the left side we have a small rubber band that helps grip the mouse and prevent it from slipping. It also has two fully configurable side buttons.
Once we look at the right side we have the same configuration: two buttons and a rubber surface . The experience is really very good.
In the central area we notice that we have an adjustable bottom piece, it also has three small LEDs and five configurable buttons. The scroll also works as a button and we must indicate that it makes a lot of noise. While the right and left button and the two programmable are fully configurable via software. The latter two come standard to increase or decrease mouse DPI speeds.
As we mentioned the base of the mouse you can adjust its inclination thanks to this little wheel.
In the front area we find a USB connection that allows us to connect the Razer Ouroboros mouse directly to the wireless dock or to the PC for when we run out of battery.
The mouse has been on the market since 2013 and in new models it incorporates a non-removable battery. Using a daily battery involves lifting the weight of the mouse. Although everything must be said… it is removed quite easily.
Finally, to indicate that the Razer Ouroboros allows us to configure the 11 buttons at our whim via software, it incorporates a 4G 8200 DPI laser, a Polling rate of 1000 Hz, an internal memory to store all the profiles and is completely wireless.
Software and autonomy
Already entering autonomy, tell you that the mouse barely holds the full day and we must connect it to the PC. In our tests, which are a use of 11 to 12 hours, it runs out 100%. We believe that the option of the Razer Mamba Chrome is somewhat better, although its price is somewhat higher.
WE RECOMMEND YOURazer Kraken Pro V2 Green Review in Spanish (Full Review)Experience and final words
The Razer Ouroboros is one of the best ambidextrous mice on the market. It allows us an excellent customization and ergonomics. Why? It allows us to adjust grip style and hand curvature in two ways… not all mice can say the same thing.
Among its most interesting benefits we find 11 buttons, 8200 DPI with a double sensor, an Ultrapolling of 1000 Hz and a response time of 1 ms. All a joy.
One of its cons is its high price of 150 euros. Although we have already seen that the Razer Mamba Chrome is worth about 30 euros more and is found with somewhat higher performance. If you have the money and want to treat yourself, it will be a great purchase.
