Razer Raiju is an officially licensed product for the PS4 and that is something that is noticeable from the first moment. We see that the box has a design based on the blue color that contrasts with the rest of the brand's peripherals that are based on corporate colors, black and green. With this there will be no doubt when it comes to identifying it as a product for the Sony console. The box presents a high quality image of the product as well as its main highlights.

We open the box and continue to see a very careful presentation in which we find the typical Razer greeting cards. Inside the box we find a case that contains the remote control inside, this will serve to store it when we are not using it so that it will be perfectly preserved. We open this case and we find the Razer Raiju next to its USB cable to connect it to the console and a special small screwdriver that we will talk about later.

Razer Raiju is not satisfied with the buttons on the DualShock 4 but adds a few additional ones like two macro buttons on the back to which two more macro buttons are attached in the lower area and two levers in this same area. These two triggers and macro buttons in the lower area can be removed very easily thanks to two release tabs that have been included right next to each of them. We can operate these tabs with the special screwdriver attached, although doing it with the fingers is just as easy, so the tool is not necessary.

In the lower area of ​​the front we see a control panel with several buttons that correspond to specific functions of the PS4, for example we have a volume level adjustment and a microphone mute.

Once you have the Razer Raiju in your hands and you start playing with it, you immediately realize that it offers a very important advantage over the DualShock 4, it is the mechanical buttons of the X, square, circle and triangle buttons, This makes them have a very different touch as well as being much faster and being available to be pressed again much faster, it is like comparing a mechanical keyboard with a membrane one. This will undoubtedly offer a very important advantage for competitive play where every tenth of a second can be decisive.

Another great advantage is found in the additional buttons, we have a total of four buttons and two triggers to which we can assign very varied functions and with up to two different profiles to have the remote always ready when we need it. It is also true that players will not be used to these buttons so it is quite easy to press them accidentally, this we have to keep in mind when assigning the functions, it will not be that we throw a grenade at the worst time or a I shoot our position in the middle of the battlefield. Of course you can always remove them if they bother you more than they benefit you.

Razer Raiju is an excellent control for the Sony PS4, we are facing a product that, clearly, is superior to the DualShock 4 in quality and offers us many more possibilities thanks to its extra buttons. Its mechanical buttons offer an important advantage at a competitive level, although this is something that will not be vital for most players, but it will still help you shoot or reload your weapon before the rival.

The construction quality is very high as in all peripherals of the Californian brand, sometimes the use of plastic can be criticized but the truth is that it is a very resistant material while light, this allows this control knob to be very comfortable to hold in hand for long periods of time.
