Razer is getting stronger by its gamer peripherals and its wide community every day. This time they have sent us one of their most interesting mice and one of the best on the market without any doubt, the renovated 8, 200 DPI Razer Taipan, with Chroma lighting system and a total of 9 programmable Hyperesponse buttons.

Unboxing and design

Razer gives us a minimalist presentation combining a black background and a mouse image. The print quality is very good quality. While the back we have a breakdown of all the features in various languages.

When we unseal the product, we find a habitual presentation in these products with the mouse protected in a plastic blister accompanied by the relevant documentation and a couple of stickers.

The Razer Taipan features a 8, 200 DPI 4G sensor, Incorporating a laser and optical sensor to precisely calibrate the mouse on any surface and achieve exceptional tracking, it has been designed with the help of professional gamers to ensure it meets the needs of the most demanding users

The Razer Taipan has dimensions of 124 mm x 63 mm x 36 mm (Length x Width x Height) and an approximate weight of 95 grams. Featuring an ambidextrous asymmetrical design that accommodates a wide variety of grip styles and hand sizes. Whether you are right-handed or left-handed, or if you have a type of palm grip, claw or fingertip, the Razer Taipan will offer you great comfort in your hand. The surface of the mouse is made of rough plastic material while the sides are gummed to offer a better grip during use and offer greater control in quick lifts and glides.

On the left side we have the usual two programmable buttons for a more comfortable handling of our computer, above we have two side buttons for web browsing and below these a rubber pad for a more comfortable grip. For its part on the right side we have two additional programmable buttons and another rubber pad to improve comfort of use.

At the top we find a comfortable scroll wheel with a very pleasant ride, two programmable buttons and the two main buttons that have a slight undulation to better adapt to the contour of the user's fingers. At the top rear we find a logo that is part of the lighting system as well as the scroll wheel.

Already in the back we have the 4G laser sensor with a speed of up to 8, 200 DPI, Ultrapolling of 1000 Hz, an acceleration of 50G and some high quality surfers.

Razer Synapse Software

To install the customization application we must go to the official Razer website and download the Razer Synapse application. Its installation is as simple as the rest of the applications (all following).

Surely, once the application is open, it will ask you to update the firmware of the product. The unit will flash in minutes and allow us to adjust various fields.

We can also configure the nine programmable buttons and add two more actions that are controlled by moving the wheel back and forth, we can also configure the DPI between 100-8, 200 DPI in ranges of 100, configure independently X and Y axes, acceleration of movement and ultrapolling at 1000/500/125 Hz

Experience and final words about Razer Taipan

The white Razer Taipan exceeds all that a mouse could be asked for: ergonomics, quiet, beautiful aesthetics, 8200 DPI and a fairly light weight. It is ideal for large hands, since it is a bulky mouse.

It is identical to the Razer Taipan version that we already discussed a few months ago and the only change is the blank design. At the time we spoke highly of it, but on a personal basis we like more other models that the company has launched. You will see some of them in our guide to the best PC mice on the market.

Currently it can be found in stores for a price of 67 euros, a fairly affordable price to what Razer has accustomed us. If you like white and want to play it safe, this is your model.
