Razer Thresher Tournament Edition is the cheap and wired version of the best gaming headset from the Californian brand. It is a headset with 50mm neodymium speakers and high-quality stereo sound, coupled with its ultra-comfortable ear cushions and an overall design that has focused on being most comfortable in long gaming sessions throughout type of devices thanks to its highly compatible 3.5mm connection.

Razer Thresher Tournament Edition comes a large cardboard box with a design that no longer surprises anyone, since the decoration of the box is based on green and black, the two corporate colors of the brand that accompany all its products. The box alerts us to its most important features, such as its ultra-comfortable design, the unidirectional microphone and the high compatibility with all types of devices.

Once we open the box we find the headset perfectly accommodated in a large piece of high quality and density foam to prevent it from moving during transport to the end user's home. We also find the traditional Razer greeting and guarantee cards that accompany all their products.

Razer Thresher Tournament Edition is based on a design that has been thought to be very comfortable to wear for long sessions. The headset is built almost entirely in plastic, something that allows a very light weight to be maintained so that it is not annoying on the head, although Razer does not give the weight figure officially.

Razer Thresher Ultimate is articulated to allow a slight twist of the domes, something that helps achieve greater comfort of use by adapting better to the head of all users. Razer has also included a traditional height adjustment system so that the headset can be adapted without problems to the heads of all users. This system adjusts automatically when we put on the headset.

The headband bets on a double bridge design, we have already talked several times about the advantages of this design, mainly it makes that only a padded piece rests on the head, reducing the pressure and the weight that it supports in the long sessions of the gamers. This design achieves a great closing pressure on the ears, although without being annoying, guaranteeing good insulation from outside noise.

The area of the domes has the typical perforated metal design found in the headset of this manufacturer, in the center of which is the screenprinted Razer logo. The pads are very abundant and soft for excellent wearing comfort, they also provide excellent insulation from the outside to avoid discomfort in our games.

We have used Razer Thresher Tournament Edition for several days to play, listen to music and watch movies in order to make a fair assessment. The sound quality is quite good, with a V profile that tends to exaggerate the bass above the rest of the frequencies, especially the mids. The overall sound is quite crisp and clean, better than what we find in the Kraken series. Something we can miss is the Dolby Headphone technology, which was present in the Ultimate version that we analyzed a few months ago, and that gave it a plus in games.

The comfort is unsurpassed thanks to the use of the best quality pads and a double bridge headband, thanks to this we do not find out that we carry them on our heads and they will not bother us after hours of use. The microphone has always been the great weak point of the Razer headphones, in this model it has been improved compared to the Kraken series, although it is still a little behind and we must continue improving.
