We thank Razer for trusting the product for their review:

Razer Turret: technical characteristics

Razer Turret: u nboxing and presentation

The Razer Turret arrives in a luxury presentation, we find a box in which the corporate colors of the brand predominate. On the front we see an image of the keyboard and mouse as well as the layout it presents, this time we find an American key layout and on the back all the most important features are detailed.

We open the box and in the first instance we see the keyboard and mouse very well protected by a dense piece of foam, Razer makes sure that it is well attached and does not move a hair before reaching the user's hands. We go down to the next level of the box and we find all the necessary accessories to use our new keyboard and mouse combo, specifically we have a charging station, a USB cable and a wall adapter to connect the base to the electrical network and a piece that serves to extend the range of your ultra-compact USB receiver. We also found the user manual and a greeting card for our purchase.

It is time to focus our eyes on the keyboard and the first thing that strikes us is how compact it is with a mouse base that folds over the back of the keyboard to add much less space. A very compact unit with dimensions of 507 x 120 x 11 mm and a weight of 620 grams. With these characteristics it is one of the most compact membrane keyboards that we can find for sale and one of the reasons are its chiclet-type keys that offer a very compact design and a very short stroke on keystrokes. Despite being so compact, it offers a quite remarkable weight in the hand and is undoubtedly due to the high quality of the materials in which it has been manufactured, it is a keyboard designed to last and resist very well the passage of time.

We go to the bottom of the keyboard and see that it is covered with non-slip rubber to prevent accidental movements in case we use it on a surface, if we rest it on our legs the rubber will also do its job to avoid accidents with sudden movements.

Finally on the same side on which the mouse base is folded we see the contacts for recharging using the Razer charging station. On the opposite side we see the power button and a small switch that serves to toggle between Bluetooth operating modes and with the attached 2.4 GHz receiver for maximum compatibility. A small LED located on the top of the keyboard will show us that it is working.

We now turn to look at the mouse and again we get a very positive impression. We are facing a very compact unit with what is once again shown to be a keyboard and mouse combo oriented to mobility and comfort. The mouse has a very clean design with measurements of 98 x 67 x 35 mm and a light weight of 99 grams.

Razer wants this mouse to last us a long time and that is why it has been manufactured with the best quality, proof of this are its two main buttons with Japanese Omron mechanisms that hold a minimum of 20 million keystrokes and that we see in the best mice on the market.

We continue with the presence of four additional programmable buttons, two on each of the sides and a wheel on the top that offers a very pleasant touch on all types of travel.

We reach the bottom of the mouse and appreciate a small switch that, just like on the keyboard, allows us to switch between Bluetooth operating modes and the attached 2.4 GHz receiver for maximum compatibility. At the bottom is also hidden its advanced laser sensor with a resolution of 3, 500 DPI and enormous precision in movements.

We continue with the mouse and it is time to look inside as you will be wondering right now why we have not shown you the USB receiver yet, because it is hidden inside the mouse like a 1, 000 mAh rechargeable battery… do not go back crazy like me looking for the receiver by the box because it is well hidden inside the mouse?

Once we have seen both products, let's see how they are based on the load base that Razer attaches with the product:

Razer Synapse 2.0 Software

We got to the software section with the Razer Synapse 2.0 application. To install the customization application, we must go to the official Razer website and download the Razer Synapse application. Its installation is just as simple as the rest of the applications in windows (all "following"). Once the application is open, it will ask us to update the product firmware, which we always recommend, even if it takes a few minutes (the process is all automatic). The only important thing is not to disconnect it during the process. If you do it later, you can do it from the application itself.

In this case the product does not have lighting so we will not see any reference to it within the application. Thanks to Razer Synapse 2.0 we can configure the 4 programmable buttons to assign different functions, create and manage macros, profiles and various aspects that affect the operation of the sensor such as adjusting the DPI in ranges of 100 from 250 DPI to 3, 500 DPI, acceleration of movement and ultrapolling in 125 and 500 Hz.

Final words and conclusion

Many of us are users who spend much of the day in front of a computer, whether for work, leisure or study. The most important peripherals, mouse and keyboard, are often the most neglected by regular computer users, many times spending a lot of money on a tower and skimping on something to be used every time you interact in any way with the team.

The Razer Turret is an excellent wireless keyboard and mouse combo that was born especially for those users who are addicted to digital leisure and who want to enjoy all the advantages of control with a keyboard and mouse of the best quality from the comfort of their sofa. We have used the Razer Turret precisely in this environment and it really is one of the best products available to the manufacturer, whether it is to watch movies, surf the Internet and even play, it will be one of your best allies.

The Razer Turret combines the best quality keyboard with a very compact design and a very light and compact mouse, which makes it very manageable and transportable so you can even take it to your friends' house to spend the afternoon in the best way. Although its price is high, let's not forget that we are dealing with a top quality product with a very solid and robust design that will last us a long time.

Currently, there is a lot of competition between keyboards but without a doubt the Razer Turret is one of the best on the market for the consumption of multimedia content although its price may be a handicap for the final consumer.

The Razer Turret is for sale on the official Razer website for a price of 189.99 euros.
