We recently had the TOP model of the moment in our laboratory: “ CG8580 TYTAN ” with a powerful i7 3770k, 16GB DDR3, Xonar Sound Card and a GTX680 Graphics Card. The box is very robust and as we can see it supports a lot of blows. Although it is apparently somewhat worn, the PC came perfect and without a scratch. Obviously, it is not the first transport that this sample carries.

The inner packaging is also very good. Filled with polystyrene and perfectly sealed.

The keyboard is mechanical ps / 2 (USB adapter included) with wrist rest. It has a function keyboard and the touch is very nice. These types of accessories are great to enjoy playing.

For music lovers we have a Xonar DX sound card that will see music from a different angle.

Regarding disks it includes a RAID of Scandisk SSD disks of 128GB each. And two more 1TB storage units.

And at night is the time for the players… The tower with the active LEDs makes it give an attractive touch and a player-only atmosphere.

As we have mentioned, the equipment has great features, i7 processor, latest generation graphics MONOGPU GTX680, 16GB DDR3 at 1600mhz, RAID of SSDs, etc… Here we can see detailed the most important components.

Well, the 4200mhz equipment has given us a very good performance. You just have to see the following synthetic tests:

And how do we activate the OC? Very easy from the speed button in the upper corner or we go directly to the profiles from "System Level Up". We have 3 profiles: 4200 mhz, 4400 mhz and 4600mhz. Be careful with 4200mhz we no longer have a bottleneck in the GTX680. Asus has put it for users who want to expand the graphics or to benchmark.

In the Probe II tool it allows us to touch the voltage and perform a Manual Overclocking.

In the temperature section we can regulate the threshold of the CPU and the motherboard.

Also modify the speed of the fans depending on the threshold.

The Asus ROG CG8580 TYTAN is a gaming desktop with the most current and powerful components of the moment. We started with an Ivy Bridge Intel i7 3770k processor, cooled by a compact Liquid R. kit, Asus Z77Deluxe motherboard, best Nvidia GTX680 Gaming MonoGPU card, Xonar DX sound card, two Sandisk solid state drives and all powered by one 700w source with 80 PLUS GOLD certification.

Component by component are a fantastic choice, but I did not like that a "ROG" series team does not include at least one series motherboard: Asus Maximus V Formula or Asus Maximus V Gene… Although we have to say that the Z77 Deluxe is a world-class motherboard, both for components, durability, and overclocking. On the assembly they could have improved the collection of cables a little, include a modular source and above all that the graphics card was an Asus Direct CU II, although for this reason it was the GTX670.

Refrigeration is rated as effective, although it could be better refrigerated. Front fan and double fan on single radiator. The CPU with the factory Overclocking at 4600 mhz did not pass 40º in idle and 72ºC in Full. With a couple of more fans we would gain a better air flow and the components would be cooler.

I really liked that the team will incorporate 3 overclocking profiles (4.2 - 4.4 and 4.6 GHZ) that can be activated via software. In addition, to be able to modify the speed of the fans, adjust voltages and settings on the sound card etc…

The equipment in general meets all the expectations of a gamer user and with it you can play at a resolution of 1920 × 1080 at 97% of the games at 60 FPS. But the great drawback that we appreciate is its high price of € 2, 999 and which is certainly not available to everyone. Of course, it is not the typical team of shopping malls that sell it to you for € 1, 300 and its components really do not exceed € 600.
