This headset promises the best video gaming experience, with virtual 7.1 surround audio with lightness and comfort. Check it out with this analysis we do.

The HyperX, already consolidated in the memory and SSD market, have all its ads focused on high-performance hardware designed for gamers. On February 9, the company announced another version: the Headset Hyperx Cloud II, and that less than a year ago the launch of its predecessor, the Cloud.

Visually, the heaset Cloud II is no different compared to its predecessor and remains very comfortable to use, light and excellent sound optimized with powerful 7.1 surround sound power, putting more emphasis on bass and treble, as well as more clarity in the dialogues. Just to compare, the first Cloud had only 53mm drivers and still excellent audio and almost noise-free playback.

Comfortable to wear, with robust structure and powerful audio

Cloud II is easy to use. Despite the structure consisting of two aluminum supports, the headset functions a foam-covered arch that is outlined in the headset format. It also comes with two pairs of ear cushions (which can be interchanged between them): a rubber cover and a more velvety one. Both offer great sound insulation.

You can also adjust the size of the bow and use the earpiece with or without the microphone, which is flexible and 15 cm long. Digital audio capture is enhanced for automatic magnification and still has function and echoes - thanks to a premium USB noise canceling sound card.

In the ear, they are also covered with "memory foam" technology, that is, they adapt to the ears and the head according to the time of use, thus avoiding the unpleasant sensation of some constantly holding the head and ears.

The microphone rods can be "plugged" into one of the headphones through a P2 input. Talking more about both the P2 and output connectors as well as the USB is gold plated. The earphone cable measures, already with the USB extension, three meters and is covered with nylon yarn, which gives more resistance to wear than traditional rubber or plastic coated cables.

One of the great news from the Cloud II over the previous model, the USB extender still has an audio control box, where you can adjust the volume of the headphones and microphone. When you click the center button on the controller, you can also switch to the 7.1 surround sound system, which emulates the presence of seven drivers and expands immersion in games and music quality, in the case of use on smartphones or tablets.

Cloud II is adaptable for PS4 and Xbox One

And when it comes to a gaming-centric headphone, that's just what the HyperX Cloud II was adapted for next-gen consoles - well at least for the Playstation 4 and Xbox. To connect the headphones to the PS4 is very simple, just "plug in" to direct the P2 output at the bottom of the control, you adapt the microphone and the video game recognizes the phone automatically. Now for the Xbox it is also automatic recognition, however due to the difference in the console control input you will need to purchase an adapter to connect the Cloud II.

conclusion

The HyperX Cloud II Headset comes in three color options (black and red, black and graphite, and white-pink). The suggested price of the new model is $ 199. A totally fair value for a headphone cap that leaves nothing behind due to the main competitors in the market. This is a costly investment, but great for gamers who want great immersive sound in their games.
