Hard drives can be adjusted in this case, with the easy-to-use HDD-trays. All painted in a nice white color and the use of black silicone bases. Power supply is mounted on the bottom of the box, with a comfortable removable filter underneath it.

Fractal uses an excellent presentation in the cardboard box. Which in turn is robust and shock resistant.
Once we opened the box for the first time, we found two polystyrene sheets and a plastic sleeve that ensures a safe and perfect delivery of the box. It also includes a detailed manual.
The box is completely blank, giving an elegant yet minimalist touch.
It includes a door that is covered with foam that reduces noise and dampens any vibration.
On the deck we have access to two front fans with filters for hard drives. A fan is installed as standard, we recommend installing a second one to create excellent cooling.
The 5.25 ″ bays can be easily uninstalled for any card reader (adapter included), rehobus, or optical drive.
The current Fractals already include USB 3.0. In addition, it is accompanied by two USB 2.0 ports, on / off button and audio input / output.
Left side view.
We can install any 120 or 140 mm fan. As we can in the following image we do not have any installed and we have the outlet covered.
Back of the box, the box is painted in white of the highest quality.
The leg has a “cream de la cream” quality.
The Fractal R3 has two outlets for 19mm liquid cooling tubes and a 12cm fan expelling air.
Of course, Fractal allows us to install any source with a maximum depth of 17 cm and incorporates a filter to prevent the entry of dust.
The Fractal R3 allows us to open it without the need for a tool. Side screws view.
The Fractal R3 is a specific box for lovers of silence. For this reason the Swedish manufacturer has installed foam on all its walls, which drastically reduces the noise of the components.
Its interior is completely painted in arctic white and at first glance it seems that the wiring has been well gripped so as not to fly during your trip.
WE RECOMMEND YOU Antec Striker, an amazing open-plan PC caseThe small details are what make the differences and Fractal is a specialist in this. We have installed an anti-vibration and fixing system for the power supply. Chapó!
It is compatible with ATX, Micro ATX, Mini I TX and E-ATX motherboards (We have installed a Rampage IV Extreme). It also includes up to 7 PCI ports. It allows us to install cards with a length of up to 29 cm in any of the sockets
Refrigeration is also one of its strengths. In addition to the two front fans, we have a 12 cm rear one.
We have the possibility of installing two 120 or 140 mm ceiling fans.
And one on the floor of 14 cm to cool the graphics card.
Cable Management is wonderful, it allows us to hide all cables and have an appearance that causes envy to other mortals.
The Fractal R3 Define Arctic White comes ready to install 3.5 or 2.5 ″ format hard drives or SSDs. Your installation, seconds!
USB 3.0 connection.Left back exposed. We wish we had more space to hide all the wiring.
The box includes:
- Instruction manual Screws and flanges 5.25 ″ to 3.5 ″ adapter
And a fantastic thief / rehobus controller to regulate all fans.
The Fractal R3 Define Arctic White is an ATX format box with a minimalist, attractive design, USB 3.0 connections and an efficient cooling system.
I think the strongest point is its fantastic ModuVent noise absorption system. Where you can choose: whether to have the side / top panels open or closed. In addition, the thick layer that is on all the walls dampens any noise produced by the internal components: graphics cards, heatsinks, hard drives and fans.
Compatibility is maximum, since it allows us to install graphics cards up to 29 cm long and CPU coolers up to 16.5 cm.
The cooling is very efficient keeping our i7 2600k processor at 28ºC at idle and the GTX670 Gigabyte OC at 31ºC. I have to say that the team is a grave with the series fans. But if we want to scratch some degree less we can install up to 7 fans and regulate it with the controller included in its accessories.
In short, if you are looking for the quietest box with a spectacular design. The Fractal R3 Define Arctic White must be your chosen one. What wants a more gaming touch? Don't worry, the new Fractal windows have just come out that will show off all the components. Its price? It ranges from 95 ~ 100 €.
