The presentation of the Aivia Xenon is sublime. The cover has an image of the mouse and on the back all the characteristics of the mouse and some slight instructions for using the mouse.
The bundle includes:
- Gigabyte Aivia Xenon Mouse. 2 AA batteries. Wireless receiver with a range of 10 meters. Quick guide.
The mouse measures 95 x 55 x 19 mm and weighs 68 grams, making it slightly above the average for the mouse. It is designed for the new interface of WIndows 8 and allows us two modes: Simple mouse mode at 1000 DPI or TOUCH PAD touch mode.
The surface is 100% tactile and we make the most of all the established space. As we can see in the following image, on the left side we find two buttons, the first allows us to choose the mode: Touchpad or normal mouse. And the second on / off switch of the Aivia Xenon.
The right side also features two other buttons. The first allows us to right-click and the second allows us to scroll a mouse (the little wheel).
At the back we see a premium 1000 DPI laser sensor, enough to work with the mouse on a daily basis.
For the power of the mouse we use two AAA batteries that have an average life time of 4 months. Which makes an economical and very attractive mouse for the new Windows 8 operating system.
In order to customize our Aivia Xenon mouse, we must download it from the Gigabyte official website, click here the drivers and software.
The mouse allows us to customize any of the 6 movements available in its " dual mode " in the following 12 options:
As we can see, in addition to customizing the changes, it allows us to view the status of the battery and return to the factory settings.
Today we have introduced you to the new Gigabyte Aivia Xenon mouse with a unique design that is creating a lot of excitement worldwide. My first contact with the mouse has been pleasant all the time we have had it testing.
As we have commented during the analysis, you have dimensions of 9.5 × 5.5 × 1.9 cm and a weight of 68 grams. Do you use batteries? Yes, two AAA batteries included in the pack with an autonomy of 4 months. Although we would have liked that Gigabyte included rechargeable batteries so as not to change them every period.
The mouse allows us a dual system of operation:
- Classic operation: With basic features such as 1000 DPI, button customization and very good gliding overall.
- Touchpad operation: It allows us to slide across its entire surface in a tactile way. This new design is seen for Windows 8.
We have tested the Aivia Xenon on both Windows 7 and Windows 8 giving great joy on both desktop. Where we see it most useful is in WIndows 8 and its Metro interface.
WE RECOMMEND YOU Sony Xperia Z1: technical characteristics, availability and priceOne of the drawbacks is its right button that we must press the first right button. Everything is to do with the mouse at the same time.
We really liked that the mouse has wireless autonomy and a range of 10 meters. Its software is very simple but precise.
What is the price of the mouse? Currently in online stores for ~ € 30 approximately.
