Like Glacialtech Siberia, the materials used are of quality. It comes equipped with a 120mm fan, although it is possible to install two fans by bringing two clips. The clips provided by Glacialtech are 100% compatible with the Nidec Servo because they are open clips.
The box is very useful to carry, because it has a handle on the top. Its design reminds us of Siberia, with cold tones.

Glacialtech has carefully designed the heatsink with its countless blades and 12 heatpipes.

The installation of the heatsink has been easy, because we have had more margin to tighten the screws than the Glacialtech Siberia. In 10 minutes we have the heatsink installed, but the installation system could be easier and save us from using so many screws…

To test the actual performance of the heatsink we are going to stress the AMD CPU with the full memory Linx floating point calculation program. This program is used to detect failures when the processor works 100% for long hours.
How are we going to measure the processor temperature?
We will use the internal sensors of the processor. For this test on AMD processors we will use the “Core Temp” application in its version: 0.99.8. It is not the most reliable test, but it will be our reference in all our analyzes. The test bench will be around 29º ambient temperature (summer).

In stock it has obtained the same result as the Siberia series, but with the overlocked processor the thing has changed and has improved up to 6 degrees, EYE! with a single fan.
WE RECOMMEND YOU New Noctua NF 5V fans powered by USB portGlacialtech surprises us again with its Alaska heatsink. It offers us better performance than its Siberia version thanks to its vertical design. The 12 heatpipes and their aluminum sheets help to reduce those 6ºC difference. Its fan is self-regulating (PWM), and does not emit a very annoying noise at high revolutions, although thanks to its clips it can be changed by any pair of Phobya or Scythe fans. With this couple we will lower the temperatures even more.
However, we complain again about its mounting system, which can be quite complicated on some motherboards. Thanks to its vertical design we have more room for maneuver than Glacialtech Siberia.
