The NB-Blacksilent PRO PL-2 is a 120mm fan from the Premium series from Noiseblocker. It has an air flow of 56.5 CFM and a low noise of 20 dB / a.

Thanks to the NB-Nano SLI technology it makes it one of the quietest fans on the market. It is also accompanied by an exquisite range of accessories: Rubber frame, m3 hardware kit to silence our fan and two three-pin extenders.

The fan is protected by a black box. On the front of the box we are presented with the product and on the back we detail its characteristics.

The box includes:

  • Noiseblocker PL-2 1400 RPM fan. Rubber frame. M3 screws and washers. Two extensions 10 and 20 cm

Front view of the fan.

And rear view.

The connector is 3-pin. As we can see in the image, the cable is too short to use the meshed extensions.

10 and 20 cm mesh extensions.

Together with the rubber frame, this kit retains possible vibrations.

Although Noiseblocker does not include this fan controller. We have attached a sample, and we have seen fit to include it in this review.

To test the actual performance of the fan we are going to stress the CPU with full memory floating point calculation (Linx) and prime number (Prime95) programs. Both programs are well known in the overclocking sector and serve to detect failures when the processor works 100% for long hours.

How are we going to measure the processor temperature?

We will use the internal sensors of the processor. For this test on Intel processors we will use the “Core Temp” application in its version: 0.99.8. It is not the most reliable test, but it will be our reference in all our analyzes. The test bench will be around 28.5ºC ambient temperature.

We will use two units of NB-Blacksilent PRO PL-2 at 1400 RPM in push & pull with the Corsair H60 liquid cooling kit.

We have updated the results of our elaborate Corsair H60 Kit table. Here are the new results:

The Noiseblocker PL-2 includes high-end fan details. The first improvement is the use of the NB-Nano SLI system. This technology is to considerably reduce engine noise. In our laboratory we have verified that this noise almost disappears and is very difficult to detect. We have also been surprised by the breadth of accessories it includes: rubber frame, anti-vibration kit and two meshed extensions.

WE RECOMMEND YOU Advance Phobya Nano2G and NanoG12

What we liked the least is the performance on our test bench. Because we had more hopes placed on him. Although we can assess its performance as efficient.

The recommended price for the Noiseblocker PL-2 1400 RPM fan is € 12.95.
