Nox Raven: Packaging and exterior.

Nox uses a large cardboard box to introduce us to its ATX box: On the front we have a picture of the box, the most serial logo and references to the support of large graphics cards, card reader and USB 3.0.

On the sides we have the most important characteristics and specifications.

Once we open the box. We see the use of polystyrene and a plastic bag to avoid bumps and dust entry.

The NOX Raven is built with the highest quality materials. As we see in the following image we have the use of SGCC Steel, ABS plastic and Mesh grille for the entry and exit of fresh air. It has measures of 49.5 x 19.6 x 42 cm and a weight of 2.8 Kilograms.

The box is available in a single black color version.

Use an aggressive line and gaming. With a total of two bays of 5.25 ″ and one 3.5 ″ for floppy drive. Also, it includes a memory card reader, USB connection (x2), on / off buttons, audio outputs - input and USB 3.0 high speed connection.

Both sides are completely smooth. The only exception we found is the addition (optional) for a 120 to 140mm fan.

At the back we have the hole for the power supply (Upper area), hole for 80/120 mm fan and 7 PCI slots. All hardware can be removed directly by hand.

On the floor of the box, we have four rubber feet.

Nox Raven: interior

Once the lid is removed, we see that the box is painted completely black. The box is a good size, but Nox has not included (cable management). So we will have to save the wiring in the best possible way in the hard drive bays.

The installation of the optical drives, motherboard, fans we must use a screwdriver.

Inside the box we have two holes to install 2.5 ″ storage devices (hard drives, SSD, etc…).

On cooling we have a 120mm front fan.

As expected, it has the typical wiring: USB 3.0 cable, audio, control panel and normal USB. As accessories we find a set of screws, brackets and internal speaker.

Final words and conclusion.

The Nox RAVEN is a tower compatible with ATX and mATX format motherboards. It is built with SGCC steel, ABS plastic and premium "Metal Mesh" grille. In the front area we have an SD card reader, 7 PCI expansion slost and USB 3.0 connections.

As we have seen it is a basic range box at a low cost (just € 30). But it has higher-end box details. For example, compatibility with large graphics cards and the possibility of installing heatsinks with a height of 16 cm.

Assembly is practical and fast. Everything is very intuitive and the use of the screwdriver is very little.

It has an optimal refrigeration. We have a 120 mm fan located on the front. A side (optional) of 120 - 140 mm and a rear of 80 mm to expel the air.

In short, if you want to assemble a basic or mid-range equipment and you want a good, nice and cheap box. The black Nox Raven must be among the chosen ones.
