Review: phobya g
The prestigious German manufacturer Phobya. It is one of the great manufacturers of PC cooling. Today we are going to focus on its range of fans "G-Silent 12 1500 RPM Red & Blue" that incorporates a removable fan system.
We are grateful for the product transferred to Phobya and Aquatuning:

There are the red and blue versions. The technical characteristics are identical in both fans, the only difference is their LED colors and the size of their boxes. These fans are designed for cooling heatsinks, watercooling and auxiliary functions for the boxes.
The fan packaging is a cardboard box:
The frame of the fan is transparent and its blades are red. As we can see they have the nice of bringing white mesh:
But they have forgotten to include at least 4 screws… On the back:
The fan has an easy mechanism that allows us to remove the blades from the frame. This system allows us a more thorough and more bearable cleaning:
And so the G-Silent 12 Red looks like in the dark:
The box is larger.
In this blue version, it includes the 4 screws:
A delight to see it at night:

To test the actual performance of the fans we are going to stress the CPU with full memory floating point calculation (Linx) and prime number (Prime95) programs. Both programs are well known in the overclocking sector and serve to detect failures when the processor works 100% for long hours.
How are we going to measure the processor temperature?
We will use the internal sensors of the processor. For this test on Intel processors we will use the “Core Temp” application in its version: 0.99.8. It is not the most reliable test, but it will be our reference in all our analyzes. The test bench will be around 28.5ºC ambient temperature.
We will use the following configurations with the fans:
- 1 x G-SILENT 12
- 2 x G-SILENT 12 Push & Pull
We have updated the results of the table already prepared in the analysis of the Corsair H60 Kit, let's see the new results:
As we have seen in the comparison table, the G-Silent 12 1500 LED Red and Blue models shield us from excellent performance, improving results over the Nidec 1450 RPM. Phobya does not neglect aesthetics, and sheathes its cable with a white mesh and its red / blue LEDs are the perfect ally for modding. Another of the strong points is its removable fan. That exerting light pressure allows us to extract it for a comfortable and effective cleaning.
But unlike other fans, the motor doesn't live up to the design of the blades. If we get closer to listening to the motor, we will perceive a small noise, therefore we cannot assign this fan to SilentPC configurations. Its ground-breaking price of € 7 makes it an excellent option.
