Phobya great specialist in fans and radiators. He brings us his range of fans " Phobya Nano G-12 SIlent Waterproof Multioption " manufactured for users who seek silence and high performance in their computers.

We are grateful for the product transferred to Phobya and Aquatuning:

Cables

1 x 20 cm adapter for 7 v and 1 x 20cm adapter for 5V. All cables are meshed.

The main differences between the Phoby G-Silent 12 and the Nano G12 Waterproof are found in the air flow: 64.3CFM instead of 58CFM. The noise level is reduced to -0.5 dBA, its longevity doubles to 100, 000 hours (MTBF) and it accompanies cables with 7v and 5v resistors, perfect for seeking silence. Phobya maintains the sleeving and its peculiar "quick cleaning mechanism" to remove the blades from the frame.

The box maintains the same aesthetic as the G-Silent 12 Red / Blue series:

Inside the box we find:

  • Ventildaor Nano G-12 Silent 4 screws 2 cables with 5v and 7v resistors

Back of fan:

In the following image we see on the left the Nano G12 Silent and on the right G-Silent 12 blue version. Its main differences are found in the framework of the Nano G12 which is more robust, its sleeving is black and a greater number of blades (9).

To test the actual performance of the fans we are going to stress the CPU with full memory floating point calculation (Linx) and prime number (Prime95) programs. Both programs are well known in the overclocking sector and serve to detect failures when the processor works 100% for long hours.

How are we going to measure the processor temperature?

We will use the internal sensors of the processor. For this test on Intel processors we will use the “Core Temp” application in its version: 0.99.8. It is not the most reliable test, but it will be our reference in all our analyzes. The test bench will be around 28.5ºC ambient temperature.

We will use two units of Phobya Nano-G12 Waterproff Multoption in push & pull with the Corsair H60 liquid cooling kit.

We have updated the results of the table already prepared in the analysis of the Corsair H60 Kit. Here are the new results:

The main notable difference with its "younger brother G-Silent 12" is the decrease in engine noise, with this improvement we can consider it as a fan suitable for lovers of silence (EYE: BeQuiet PC). As we are used to, Phobya equips the fan with high quality meshed cable and its special system of "removable blades" for easy cleaning.

However, we have been disappointed with its performance with the Intel 2600k at 4.8GHZ. Temperatures increased to 6ºC compared to Phobya G-Silent12 and in stock they also increased to 3ºC…

The recommended price is € 9.99. We find it quite successful for the quality of its components and its improvement in the engine.
