The Steelseries Siberia V2 is one of the best closed gaming helmets on the market. In its second revision it has been improved by increasing sound quality, comfort and a retractable microphone. Let's see its improvements in more detail:

Increases by 25%. Padded Leather Pads.

Retractable "invisible" microphone in the left helmet. Sound. Improving bass, volume and response frequency from 10-28, 000Hz. Cable divided into two parts. A first for use on a laptop and a 2-meter extender for connection to desktops.

It keeps the same packaging as the Siberia 1. On the cover the headphones are 70%. The name of the product stands out in orange letters. In the back we can see a lot of information: specifications in several languages, and an image of the helmets with their peculiarities.

The Siberia is available in blue, orange, black, white, red, green, and black / gold. As you can see in the image, we have the Siberia in white. It honors the Russian cold of Siberia.

Its aesthetic is impressive.

The pads completely cover our hatreds. They are also very comfortable and soft.

The upper part is made of hard white plastic, to cushion any blow.

Steelseries has added a silky ribbon for comfort.

One of the most important improvements is the incorporation of a retractable microphone in the left helmet.

It incorporates a control knob to mute the microphone and a wheel to increase and decrease the volume.

As we have previously commented. The cable is one meter long, and has an extension of two meters.

The cable has a standard mesh. We expected quality braiding.

The headphones have been plugged into a sound card of the caliber of the Asus Xonar STX. Let's see the tests carried out.

Music and Movies / Series: After long hours listening to the records of: David Ghetta, Rihanna, BEP and Spanish music. The quality of the music has been exquisite. Also when I have heard some episodes of Games of Thrones and The Walking Dead has not disappointed me.

Games: For this test I have used two quite famous games: Battlefield 2 and World Of Warcraft. In both cases the sound quality has been perfect (I listened to the footsteps, my surroundings, etc…) and my teams have clearly listened to me.

Calls: In this case I have used Google Talk and Skype to carry out the tests with my friends. They are used to listening to me through my high-end headphones. And during the calls they have not noticed any anomaly. Good sign ?

The saying "Second parts were never good" cannot be applied with the Steelseries Siberia V2 helmet. The improvement in the second version is more than appreciable.

Construction is solid and cushions classic bumps. It incorporates two leather pads and a velvety fabric strap that provides us with comfort (we neither sweat nor warm our ears) in our long hours listening to music or playing.

As we have verified in our test bench. We get an outstanding quality score in Battlefield 2 and WoW games. And excellent sensations listening to music and watching series (Games of Thrones and The Walking Dead).

We also have to highlight its new retractable microphone. That has us in love with its functionality, performance and its useful control panel that mutes the microphone and increases / decreases the volume on site. During gaming sessions and VoIP calls made, the voice has always been clear and noiseless.

We would have liked the cables to have a mesh according to the helmets. But this damage does not affect its excellent performance.

We conclude the analysis by stating that Steelseries has designed one of the best stereo gaming helmets. The Steelseries Siberia V2 is one of the pro gaming helmets with the best quality / price ratio.
