The Golden Silent is a 500w ATX format font. Among its main characteristics we must highlight two: that it has the 80 Plus Platinum certificate and lacks a fan.

In its upper part it includes a large aluminum heatsink to quickly evacuate the little heat it generates.

Al does not incorporate a fan for cooling. SuperFlower has designed a case with many holes for your breathing. Both sides have the classic bee panel:

On the back we have the power connection and an on / off button.

The Golden SIlent 500w is a source with hybrid modular management. This means, that it has fixed cables and external cables. Super Flower has patented connectors that are very comfortable.

All wiring is meshed.

Modular cables: 3 x molex + floppy drive, 2 x SATA, 4 x SATA and 2 x PCI-E 6 + 2 connectors for graphics cards.

Connected the cable to the Super Flower connector.

To check at what level our power supply works, we are going to check the energy consumption and the stability of its voltages. We have subjected her to a hard examination. We have used a latest technology processor, Intel i7 2600k, and a TOP graphics such as the ASUS GTX580 Direct CU II. These are the results obtained:

The Golden Silent 500w is a 100% passive ATX format font. What does this mean? It does not incorporate a fan for cooling. Why? Because in this way we eliminate the noise it gives off and it becomes the perfect candidate for a SilentPC equipment.

This comes true thanks to its excellent Super Flower core, excellent + 12v 41.5 line and integrated Japanese capacitors. In addition, it incorporates hybrid modular cable management and is capable of supporting a SLI or CrossFireX system. A true wonder.

To check its performance we have used a latest generation i7 2600k processor, an Asus Maximus IV Extreme motherboard and a GTX580 Direct CU II graphics card. The results have been excellent: 100w on load, on CPU load 168 W and with the 354W graphics card.

Regarding its cooling, it has hardly been heated in idle. In full we have noticed a little more heat, but it is the coldest source that we have tested so far. (Idle consumption: / full:)

Another of its strengths is, if we exceed 500w, the source mutates to 600w (automatic overclocking is performed) with 80 PLUS Gold Certificate.

There is still no date of arrival in Spain. But in Amazon Germany we have found it for € 150. And it is currently the best certified and passive source on the market.
