Why the name of Durandal? Durandal (in Spanish durandarte) means “the lasting one” and it was Roldán's sword, who got it when he was appointed warrior at just 17 years old. This sword was given to him by Charlemagne. Legend has it that in the battle of Roncesvalles. before dying, Roldán, so that it did not fall into enemy hands, threw her through the mountains that separated him from his country and the sword made a breach in them so that he could admire his homeland for the last time. Another version tells that he tried to break it against the rocks and that, unable to do so, he perished on it. And finally, another legend says that he threw it into Lake Carucedo, near the Roman mines of Las Médulas.

The Durantal Ultimate is designed with an ABS frame and Cherry MX Red switches that have a longevity of 50 million total keystrokes. All its keys are engraved with a state-of-the-art laser that guarantees durability not seen before and that maintains the paint like the first day.

As we see in the following images, it includes the classical numerical zone. This area allows us to increase, decrease and change the intensity of the keyboard LEDs.

As a high-end keyboard, it includes the N-Key Rollover function, which allows the PC to recognize each press separately and at the same time. This function is ideal for the Gaming world… where on many occasions it is necessary to use 3 or 4 keys at the same time for the same action.

In the upper right corner we have an area that decreases sweat and increases grip and the feeling of the keyboard at hand. Also, we have the classic LED indicators of a lifetime: number block, capital letter, scroll and activation.

In the rear area we have two USB 2.0 connections, an audio input and an output one. This allows us to connect storage devices: Pendrive, recharge the battery of our mobile or an external hard drive. The audio output is ideal for quickly connecting our Gaming or high-end helmets without having to move to the front / rear of the tower. Everything is at our fingertips.

The rear we have little to highlight. The look is classic on all normal gaming keyboards in the world. We only see a label, the rubber supports and the two lifting points.
