The connection to the network is usually one of the concerns of the most enthusiastic users and especially the most gamers, fortunately network technologies evolve to facilitate the task. Rivet Networks has announced the new Killer E2500 Ethernet Controller with various features focused on prioritizing selected packets in order to achieve better performance.

Killer E2500: Features of New High-Performance Ethernet Interface

The new Killer E2500 controller includes QoS technologies such as ASD 2.0 (advanced stream detect) and the NIC driver to control traffic specifically and thus prioritize the most important packets in each situation. NIC also includes optimization for the 500 most popular websites on the Internet, which significantly improves the loading speed and performance of these websites.

Another important novelty affects the new Killer Control center software that provides much finer manual control over the network interface to adjust both applications and websites. DoubleShot Pro technology has also received an update to provide greater control over packets being shipped. Rivet Networks claims it is already working to make the new Killer E2500 Ethernet interface available on motherboards from major manufacturers like ASRock, MSI, Gigabyte, Dell-Alienware, Dell-XPS, Lenovo, Clevo, Acer, and Razer.
