Nvidia's RTX 2070 series of graphics cards will go on sale next week, and will bring with it a collection of custom offerings from all major GPU manufacturers. One of them is Zotac, which already presented its AMP series, from which some results appear to have been leaked in 3DMark.

RTX 2070 would get somewhat better performance than the GTX 1080

At this time, the performance of Nvidia's upcoming RTX 2070 graphics card remains unknown, but thanks to the TUM_APISAK source, we can see one of the first performance results for this graphics card, which should be on par with the GTX 1080..

The image below shows the 3DMARK Time Spy scores for the RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 2080 models and what is presumably an RTX 2070, which appears to be a custom Zotac model. The score presented is 8151, which is achieved using an Intel i7 8700K processor, a score higher than that of most GTX 1080 series graphics cards.

Graphics card scores 8151 on 3DMark Time Spy

The RTX 2070 is perhaps the most exciting entry to the Turing range of graphics cards, given the use of GDDR6 memory while offering the same memory bus size as an RTX 2080. This should allow the 2070 to override the GTX 1080 in high resolutions, given the high memory bandwidth requirements in 4K resolution (for example).

It won't be long before we know the performance of the RTX 2070, when they officially launch on October 17.
