Nvidia's Rtx 2070 super now supports sli
Table of contents:
It can be argued that the RTX 2070 SUPER is not a 'normal' RTX 2070, but instead offers a different silicon, a new PCB / cooler design, and support for features not present in the original RTX 2070. One of those features is SLI support.
RTX 2070 SUPER is compatible with SLI, contrary to the original model
EK confirmed that the RTX 2070 SUPER is compatible with its Founders Edition water blocks of RTX 2080, confirming that the RTX 2070 SUPER is much closer to its older sister, the RTX 2080, than the RTX 2070 that bears its name..
The unexpected surprise is that the Nvidia 2070 SUPER model does support SLI connections, unlike the original model.
We found that the addition of this feature was not reported in most reviews of the RTX 2070 SUPER, but we did see it in our review here at ProfessionalReview . This means that we can mount a 'multi-GPU' team with two GeForce RTX 2070 to look for greater graphics performance.

Based on the RTX 2080, the RTX 2070 SUPER gains a bigger cooler, a more robust PCB, and support for a feature that Nvidia has gradually phased out of its low-end SLI models. This allows Nvidia users to access multi-GPU RTX performance at a much lower price than with their original RTX 2080, which is great news for multi-GPU enthusiasts.
Although a Multi-GPU system seems like a good idea, keep in mind that its use is not too widespread and that it is not supported in all games. Before making a payment for two RTX 2070 graphics cards to use them in SLI, we will have to look at future reviews that may arise and see if the performance gain is worth it.
The RTX 2070 SUPER along with its younger sister, the RTX 2060 SUPER, will go on sale on July 9.
