Rtx super, leaks on possible final specifications

For several weeks now, the Nvidia RTX SUPER rumor machine has been working night and day. An unconfirmed graphics card, possible market prices, some data on specifications… However, today we have a leak from, apparently, a worker from Nvidia itself.

Semi-official data from Nvidia SUPER

Nvidia RTX 20 SUPER line

The green team has put its machines back to full power. With AMD's growing influence, it will no longer be around with youngsters and experiments and it will resume the arduous task of continuing to dominate the market. The new SUPER line is proof of this, as it revisits the RTX 20 graphics to provide more power at the same cost.

And if you were already eager to meet them, you can relax your heart. The RTX SUPER graphics are assumed to be announced in late June, more specifically June 21, although the date could change.

Despite the fact that in the news we have been talking about an update of the three base cards of the RTX 20 line (2060, 2070 and 2080), the leaks affirm a superior version of the entire line. With this in mind, more than an update it would seem that they are a new range, after all.

Possible graphics alignment of the new Nvidia RTX 20 SUPER

As a consequence, we will be able to see a price drop in the standard RTX 20 graphics shortly before the SUPER announcement , something that every user loves. Likewise, the informant comments that the Ti versions of this new range will not go hand in hand with their peers, but will still be delayed for a few months.

From the modest RTX 2060 to the monstrous RTX 2080 Ti they will get a SUPER version, so they may get a new name. However, until an official confirmation we will continue to call them RTX 20 SUPER for the good understanding of all.

RTX 2080 Ti SUPER,

The boss card of the current RTX 20 line will be rebuilt from scratch. It will not optimize its previous chip, nor will it use that of any different graphics such as Quadro (confirmed). Nvidia's next final beast will be mounted on a brand new chip designed for this graphics card.

The chip will not be limited and can reach 300W TDP (Thermal Design Power). We don't know anything else about it, but we expect it to have more cores and faster VRAM (Video RAM) memory , making it possibly quite a bit more powerful than the current RTX 2080 Ti .

Unfortunately, we will have to wait a little longer than normal since it belongs to the Ti segment.

RTX 2080 SUPER,

If in the RTX 2080 Ti we will have a new chip without limitations, for the classic RTX 2080 we will have the RTX 2080 Ti chip, but without limitations. Surely it has more processing cores and what we do have almost confirmed is that it will mount 11GB of VRAM.

What some users may fear is the failure of the last generation to use VRMs (Voltage Regulator Module, in Spanish) and blocked VRAMs , in addition to low-quality VRMs. However, in the RTX 20 SUPER we will have the chip completely released to be able to install much higher quality VRMs .

The starting price of this graph is assumed to be for the same cost as the previous RTX 2080.

RTX 2070 Ti SUPER,

As we are seeing in the graphics above, the RTX 2070 SUPER will be mounted on the chip of a current RTX 2080 . It will keep the current 8GB of VRAM , but we hope it will contain more cores and higher frequencies.

We could foresee that, in addition, it has the chip released, to reach higher power levels, but we do not even have rumors about it.

RTX 2060 SUPER,

Finally, the youngest of the family. The RTX 2060 SUPER will apparently be mounted on the chip of an RTX 2070 without OC (overclock).

The interesting point comes with the claim that it will have 8GB of VRAM instead of the current 6GB , a significant improvement. With this you will not only be more efficient (we hope), but you will have more margin to make calculations.

As we have previously mentioned, the graphics of Nvidia , with almost total security, will lower the prices, making the Navi cards from AMD fight against the new SUPER . In this regard, AMD will have to find a strategy other than frontal confrontation, so the market is already taking shape.

The healthy fight between the two graphics card makers is reigniting and there is only one winner here: the users.
