Based on the details provided, the processor can reach 25W TDP if necessary. In the GPU section, the 3780U has an additional calculation unit over any other Zen + processor of brand laptops. The 3780U is powered by 1.2 teraflops of graphics performance; superior performance to the Ryzen 3300U and similar to that provided by the Ryzen 3500U.
Microsoft promises to vastly outperform MacBook Pro performance
Microsoft claims that its latest Surface Laptop 3 with the Ryzen 3780U, will outperform a similar MacBook Pro by 70%. The new GPU is designed to handle AI workloads, and to manage the optimized Surface Pen to perform up to 200 measurements per second. This chip marks the start of AMD's processors by turning them into energy efficient laptops, and their performance will set the pace for future products.
