AMD's latest product guide reveals a Ryzen 3000 processor that has never been seen before. The chipmaker lists the unknown Ryzen 7 3750X.

Ryzen 7 3750X is revealed by surprise

Despite being mentioned in an official AMD document, the company may decide not to release the Ryzen 7 3750X to the market. AMD already has a fairly diverse portfolio of desktop processors, and it's hard to know where to locate the Ryzen 7 3750X within the series. The name only suggests that the chip will likely be located between the Ryzen 7 3700X and the Ryzen 7 3800X. These last two processors don't seem to have much difference between them with their 8 cores and 16 threads, so it is difficult to see a 3750X in the middle of the two proposals.

The Ryzen 7 3700X has a TDP of 65W, a base clock of 3.6 GHz and a boost clock of 4.4 GHz. The Ryzen 7 3800X, on the other hand, has a nominal power of 105W with a base clock of 3, 9 GHz and a 4.5 GHz boost clock.

Model (USD) Cores / Threads TDP Base / Boost (GHz) L3 Cache PCIe 4.0 Lines
Ryzen 7 3800X 399 8/16 105W 3.9 / 4.5 32 24
Ryzen 7 3750X ? 8/16 105W ? ? 24
Ryzen 7 3700X 329 8/16 65W 3.6 / 4.4 32 24

With these specifications in mind, the Ryzen 7 3750X could be a rest of chips that do not qualify for a Ryzen 7 3800X but that are still superior to the Ryzen 7 3700X. This means that AMD may be thinking of using those 'faulty' 3800X chips to recondition for a 3750X.

We see a 300 MHz and 100 MHz gap between the base and boost clocks of the Ryzen 7 3700X and Ryzen 7 3800X, respectively. The Ryzen 7 3750X appears to have a TDP of 105W, so it should be faster than the Ryzen 7 3700X. As for prices, the Ryzen 7 3700X and Ryzen 7 3800X have an official cost of $ 329 and $ 399, respectively. That's a difference of $ 70, so AMD could put the Ryzen 7 3750X in that price range.

We will be aware of the news, and if AMD really launched this model on the market.
