Samsung closes its factory in the Chinese city of Tianjin

China is a very difficult market for some of the most important brands in the world, such as Samsung or Apple. In the case of the Korean firm, it has never finished being one of the best sellers. Despite this, they had some factories in the country. But months ago they closed the first one. Now, they start 2019 by closing the second factory in six months in China.

In this case it is the factory in Tianjin city that closes its doors. Due to this closure, 2, 600 people lose their jobs at the company.

Samsung still no luck in China

It seems that a small group of workers will be reassigned in other production plants of the Korean brand. The shutdown has not been caused by the firm's bad luck in China. Apparently, the products that were produced in this plant were for a certain project, which comes to an end. So this appears to be the reason for the shutdown, according to Samsung.

Since other plants that the Korean brand has in the country, such as those of Huizhou, continue to operate normally, at full capacity. So it does not appear that more plants will be closed in China at the moment.

The Korean brand is currently working on its high-end that will probably arrive at MWC 2019. A range of phones with which Samsung wants to maintain leadership in the market, in addition to showing that they are an innovative company.
