So, after facing it with the enemy's flagship, the iPhone 6s and with the newborn LG G5, it is time to compare it with its own father, the Samsung Galaxy S6. Is this, then, a good opportunity to see what new features the new Samsung sapling offers us, taking as a reference the not so distant past.

We could not start in a better way than reviewing the main characteristics of the Galaxy S7. And the first thing that strikes us is its design. The word that we think is most appropriate for this new smartphone is, perhaps, conservative. And that is not bad, in any way. On the contrary.

The designs presented in the previous generation were a success on the part of Samsung. And the sensations that are extracted from this new batch of devices are very similar. Good quality materials, very similar finishes and low weight. All this sounded like a year ago to us. Good for Samsung, then, in this aspect, because not only has a good design been maintained, but it has also been improved, for example, by removing part of the hump from the rear camera.

The materials used are well known: a combination of glass and aluminum. In this case, the glass dresses the back and of course the screen, and the aluminum the edges. Hardware and software

But not everything is design, and that's why we have to talk about numbers. What hardware differences do we have in the Samsung Galaxy S6 compared to the previous generation?

Starting with the processor, as expected (it is the logical trend) there is a clear step forward. But also various nuances to comment. For example, the Galaxy S7 debuts the new processor signed by the Korean company itself, the Exynos 8 Octacore. But a version with the new Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 820, has also been presented. In the absence of knowing the real benefits and the final performance, Samsung has already targeted up to 30.4% more performance. It doesn't look bad at all.

We also add to the Samsung Galaxy S7 an extra gigabyte of RAM, perfect for addicted to apps and, consequently, to work with many of them at the same time. Those 4GB of DDR4 RAM will be more than enough for any use. Too many? Possibly… but better than missing them.

Surprisingly the screen remains at 5.1 inches with 577 dpi (pixel density) and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 technology. One more level of security. and that we believe we have a technical tie.
