The main difference between the two terminals is in their designs, since despite having similar dimensions, the Galaxy S8 Plus houses a larger screen, 6.2 inches compared to the 5.5-inch screen of the S7 Edge.

In terms of connectivity, both terminals have support for 4G LTE networks, although the Galaxy S8 Plus comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 ac Gigabit (LTE Cat. 16) and Bluetooth 5.0, compared to the Bluetooth 4.2 LE of the S7 Edge.

Finally, also note that the Galaxy S8 Plus comes with a USB-C port, Bixby virtual assistant and the support for the Samsung DeX dock, which will allow you to turn it into a desktop computer.

When buying some of these models, you should probably take into account that the autonomy will not change too much or could even worsen in the case of the Galaxy S8. In addition, the performance of the camera is very similar to the S7 Edge camera, although it must be recognized that the new model brings a more impressive design.
