Samsung is known in the Android world for its update schedule, which is slow and unpredictable, causing some devices, even new ones, to not always receive updates that they should receive during the covered support period. Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 gets the latest in software

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 hit the market a little over a year ago disappointed some users in terms of specs, as Samsung didn't wait long enough to give it the latest Snapdragon 835 processor and left it with the hardware from the previous year. Still, given the scarcity of high-end Android tablets on the market, the Galaxy Tab S3 managed to stand out, and even continues to do so today.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will be even better with the latest version of Android 8.0. In addition to the performance benefits and security patches that Oreo offers, the update also installs the latest version of Samsung Experience 9.0 on the device, which means it's pretty much on the same level as the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 on as for software. This update also enables Dolby Atmos support, making it one of the few elite Samsung devices with this feature.

For now this update to Android 8.0 Oreo is only being rolled out in the UK. Hopefully it won't take long to be available in other regions, and hopefully before Samsung announces the Galaxy Tab S4.
