Samsung will launch its vr glasses very soon with bluetooth support
Table of contents:
Samsung's upcoming virtual reality (VR) glasses, dubbed HMD Odyssey +, made their first appearance in the FCC database, along with the most important specs and features. Its aim is to be the successor to last year's HMD Odyssey and it will be the company's second independent VR headset.
The Samsung HMD Odyssey + glasses would come in two variants
Although the previous leaks revealed almost everything we would like to know about Samsung's future VR glasses, the latest report is here to add more to the story. The device appeared on the Bluetooth certification website, revealing yet another feature.
The document doesn't reveal much except that two models have gone through the certification process, with similar numbers: XE800ZBA and XQ800ZBA. We have already seen the first on the FCC website, but the second remains a mystery. This could mean that the Korean giant is preparing two variants of its virtual reality glasses, while Bluetooth connectivity could mean that a gamepad or other game controller can be connected to the glasses directly.
Could be presented at IFA 2018
In any case, the Bluetooth and FCC certifications point to an imminent launch, which could be at the IFA 2018 that will take place at the end of this month of August.
Although virtual reality is not taking off in terms of video game offerings, many manufacturers are still betting on why they think the future is, and nobody wants to be left out.
