Samsung and Android have dominated the market for smartphones with an iron fist, the South Korean firm has become one of the most prestigious manufacturers of this type of device and Google's operating system has only grown since its arrival in market. The idea that Samsung could abandon Android in favor of Tizen is not something new, the South Korean firm has already played with Tizen but until now it has only done so in some wereables and in a low-end smartphone such as the Samsung Z1, a Very cheap terminal that has only been launched in emerging markets. With this movement, Samsung seeks to end its dependence on Google and create a new common ecosystem for all its devices led by Tizen.
