Galaxy S has been the high-end of Samsung smartphones since the arrival of the first device in this series many years ago, finally the Korean firm could change the nomenclature, or at least that is what has been suggested on the occasion of the presentation of the Galaxy S9 at this year's Mobile World Congress.

Galaxy S10 would come to the market with another name

That means that Galaxy S10 will not reach the market as such, but that its names will be different, this has just been recognized by the head of Samsung's mobile division, DJ Koh. Koh informed reporters at MWC that the tech giant is considering ending its flagship brand Galaxy S and adopting a new naming scheme for its next top of the range to be released in 2019.

This does not mean that Samsung plans to completely discard the Galaxy naming, Samsung wants to change the naming scheme but wants to keep the numbering system from aligning. That is why it is not clear what part of the brand will be eliminated, for now all are possibilities, we will have to wait for an official announcement from Samsung itself.
