Apple will use ARM chips as coprocessors on its computers
A new rumor suggests that Intel processors are not really going to be replaced, at least for now, but that Apple's intention is to use ARM chips as coprocessors that would take care of some specific tasks. These coprocessors would be in charge of doing tasks such as backups, checking for new mail and background updates to calendars and the iCloud application. For this, the new Power Nap feature would be introduced and the first ARM chip to be used would be the T310.
