Shappire has realized that it was not a good idea to bring the partially trimmed Polaris 11 graphics chip to market, more so when most of the Radeon RX 460s being sold can see their 1024 cores unlocked without much trouble.

As a result, Shappire has announced a new Radeon RX 460 that sees its Polaris 11 core arrive fully unlocked to add its 1024 active stream processors (16 CU). In this way, players on a tight budget can opt for a significantly more powerful solution without having to do anything to unlock the card.
For now, the new card will only go on sale in the Chinese market, a decision very similar to that made with the Radeon RX 470D that we do not see on European soil. The card has a total of 4 GB of GDDR5 memory and a speed on its GPU of 1250 MHz.
