The Radeon RX Vega have not had the expected success in the gaming market, despite this, Sapphire continues to bet on the latest AMD graphic architecture, and would be working on the launch of a Radeon RX Vega Nano.

Sapphire will launch the first Radeon RX Vega Nano

With this move, Sapphire would seek to repeat with Vega the success of the Radeon R9 Nano, the most popular graphics card of those based on the Fiji core. The Radeon RX Vega Nano is not something new, as it was already shown by AMD in the summer of 2017, but it has never seen the light.

This new Sapphire card, would be based on the Radeon RX Vega 56 and would not stop being a highly optimized version, in terms of energy efficiency, that is, it would come with an adjusted frequency and voltage, to lower its consumption of energy in a remarkable way. There is talk that its TDP could be 150W, well below the 210W of the standard Vega 56.

This tight TDP would allow Sapphire to mount a simple cooling system, and maintain a Mini ITX format on the card. Despite this, two 8-pin power connectors would be maintained, to guarantee maximum stability, and allow overclocking, something that was very limited in the Radeon R9 Nano.

The PCB of the card would be the same as that of the Sapphire Radeon Vega 56, since it is very small in size so it is fully compatible with a Mini ITX card. The arrival of this new Vega Nano could help improve the image of AMD's graphic architecture, as it could offer great graphic power in a very compact size and with good energy efficiency.
