The arrival of shenmue 1 and 2 remastered for pc is confirmed

While the expected Shenmue 3 is still in development by Yu Suzuki, the arrival of the two previous installments of Shenmue for PC and the PlayStation 4 and XBOX One consoles has been confirmed in the last few hours .

Shenmue fans are in luck

Have you never heard of Shenmue? This is a very popular adventure and action game that first came out in 1999. It was created, produced and directed by Yu Suzuki, who also led the development of the sequel, Shenmue 2. Courtesy of SEGA, these games will arrive at Modern platforms during 2018 in a pack that will include both titles.

In addition to the PC version, the pack will also launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Both titles were originally designed for Dreamcast, so it will definitely be nice to play them on PC without any emulation.

Shenmue was a game ahead of its time, offering a cycle of day and night, characters that modified their routines depending on the schedule, dynamic climates and mini-games. It also included a 3D fighting system that looked a lot like Sega's Virtua Fighter.

The pack will feature dubbing in English and Japanese and you can choose a new modern control system, in addition to the classic one that veteran players must already know.

The launch on XBOX One of this pack has generated a wave of rumors about a possible Shenmue 3 also on the Microsoft console. Recall that the third part was only announced for PC and PlayStation 4.
