AMD released the new Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.5.2 driver for all Radeon graphics cards. The company had anticipated that the controller was originally supposed to prepare AMD-equipped systems for Budget Cuts, a game for the Oculus and Steam VR platforms, but developer Neat Studio delayed the game shortly before its scheduled debut. AMD decided to go ahead and release the controller anyway.

Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.5.2 includes bug fixes only

Unlike the previous driver, which added support for integrated Vega graphics and 4K video streaming, Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.5.2 only includes bug fixes. (Not that there is anything wrong with fixing a few errors, everyone wants their cards to work with as few problems as possible) but some more brilliant news was expected.

Here are the errors that AMD fixed with this driver:

  • Sea of Thieves suffered from occasional app crashes or hang after home screen. Brightness or white screen issues when playing The Crew on day maps. Sometimes the shader cache might not be enabled or not enable it properly in the game shader cache. Fixed stability issues when using FreeSync technology. Warhammer: Vermintide 2 could experience crashes when changing resolution. Some zombie textures could fail while rendering horde mode for Arizona Sunshine.

They can download the drivers manually, as always, from the official AMD site.
