MSI GS75 Stealth and MSI GE65 Rider are the two new MSI creations joining the brand's two families of Max-Q designed notebooks. Two variants that incorporate the Intel Core i7-9750H processor and RTX 2060, 2070 and 2080 series graphics cards. We tell you more about these two beasts just out of the oven.

MSI GS75 Stealth the 17.3-inch variant of the GS series

Surely you already know other laptops in the MSI GS range that incorporate the 9th generation Intel processor. But unlike the GS63 and GS65, this model has been presented with a screen that now offers a 17.3-inch diagonal, instead of 15.6, which is purely gaming oriented with 144 Hz and IPS panel with ultra-thin frames.

In terms of design, it is practically the same as its younger brothers, finished in aluminum and gold edges and of course Max-Q design of only 18.95 mm thick and 2.26 Kg, being the thinnest with these specifications offered by the brand.

Although on the tab does not say, we have an Intel Core i7-9750H CPU with 8 cores and 16 threads together with a RAM memory of 32 GB-2660 MHz expandable to 64 GB. One positive thing is that it is available in three different versions in which only the graphics card changes, installing an Nvidia RTX 2060, RTX 2070 and RTX 2080 for the most powerful model.

But, in addition, there are different variants in terms of storage, ranging from 512 GB SSD to 2 TB SSD. Inside we do not have space for HDD, but we do have three M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 slots. Something that has surprised us negatively is that instead of bringing Wi-Fi 6, this laptop includes a Killer 1550 chip with Wi-Fi AC, we expected better benefits in this regard.

MSI GE65 Rider

In our view, this MSI GE65 Rider is a more interesting team than the previous one in some respects. It is true that, in terms of design, the GS version is much more elegant, since this is somewhat thicker, with 26.9 mm and its cover is somewhat coarser. But the most interesting thing that this laptop brings is its Wi-Fi 6 connectivity with the Killer AX1650 chip that provides a bandwidth of 2400 Mbps at 5 GHz and 574 Mbps at 2.4 GHz.

Its basic hardware is exactly the same as in the previous case, Int the Core i7-9750H, 32 GB of RAM expandable to 64 GB and Nvidia RTX 2070 and RTX 2060 graphics cards. We therefore lose the highest specification available on the 17.3-inch GE75. Regarding storage, we have two M.2 slots and variants from 512 GB SSD to 2 TB.

The screen is 15.6 inches, with an IPS panel that gives us two different versions in terms of refresh rate , 240 Hz and 144 Hz. It is one of the great differences with the GE75 and GE63 models, which reach 144 Hz. We must also consider that we do not have Thunderbolt 3 connectivity, unlike the GS75, although we do have a powerful sound system with 2 3W subwoofers and two 2W speakers.

In fact, the GS75 model is already available on the market here in Spain for a price from 1, 800 euros to 3, 000 euros for the most powerful model. As for the MSI GE65 we will have to wait for some more type to know a specific date and price, but it should be between 1, 800 and 2, 500 euros approximately, since we do not have RTX 2080.
