Seagate Announces New 4TB Hard Drive

Anonim

Western Digital was the first hard drive manufacturer to launch a 4TB drive on the market, and is known to be crafting a 5TB drive, and is now attacking Seagate.

After almost four months, Seagate responds with its new 3.5 ”Barracuda HDD.15 4TB“ ST4000DM000 ”hard drive, which is made up of 1TB platters each, although its specifications (180MB / s vs 210MB / s from others models with 1TB chainrings) suggest it may have a rotational speed of less than 7200 revolutions per minute (RMP).

Seagate has yet to disclose the price of its new hard drive, but we assume it must be less than its competitors; But a detail that will undoubtedly worry many of those interested in this hard drive is its scarce guarantee of just one year.
