Seagate is launching new 14TB drives for its entire range of hard drives already known to many, BarraCuda, FireCuda, IronWolf, SkyHawk and Exos.

Seagate Debuts New Hard Drive Capacity

Seagate IronWolf and IronWolf Pro hard drives are for NAS and BarraCuda Pro is for desktop use. Surveillance systems can take advantage of SkyHawk hard drives, while Exos X14 is for large-scale data centers. So there is something for every scenario.

These aren't the first 14TB drives we see, but it's certainly the widest adoption we've seen from a manufacturer. With them, users earn an unmatched low cost per terabyte. Whether for personal use, creative and design computing, online gaming or large-scale surveillance systems and large-scale environments, Seagate hard drives are opening up new opportunities in every market.

For desktop use, we have the BarraCuda Pro BarraCuda Pro 14TB hard drive. The BarraCuda Pro offers a spin speed of 7200 RPM, along with data transfer speeds of 250mb / s and up to 256MB of cache. It is the highest available today. Seagate Multi-Tier Caching (MTC) technology is also part of the BarraCuda Pro unit. The warranty on this hard drive covers about 5 years by the manufacturer.

Pricing and availability

The 14TB IronWolf and IronWolf Pro are available at prices of $ 529.99 and $ 599.99 respectively. The BarraCuda Pro 14TB is available for $ 579.99. The 14TB SkyHawk costs $ 509.99.
